A presentation about Twitter – for people, not businesses.

Many thanks to Kelly Tall and The Leading Edge for hosting us last week. It’s weird talking about Twitter in real life. If you have feedback on the night or the presentation, you know what to do. Be kind.

  • Dear Mark
This is a lovely preso, Ian Lyons tweeted the link and I found it that way.
    Will send it on. Cheers.
  • Hello Mark,
This was a clear and brief summary. No jargon or marketing nonsense. Lovely.
    I like ;-p
  • excellent work mate. if i had to do a presentation on twitter it would be EXACTLY the same as this.
  • As always, great stuff Mark!

hey mate, nice preso.... i especially liked the reference to 'stalkernomics'. ha
  • Checked you out because Zach suggested it and I always take Zach's advice ;-).
Actually your experience is similar to many. Twitter has no instructions, but once you learn it's not about the tweet, it's about the experience of connecting with people and discovering what they have to offer and how the process of exploring, discovering, sharing and conversing can make you smarter or at least better informed, you realize it is, in fact, a valuable tool
  • Thanks, all. Have presented chunks of this a few times now and still not comfortable with saying 'Tweet' or 'follow'... weird. But I think there are interesting implications from Twitter (whether Twitter morphs into something completely different or not) that are worth people's time learning now: ie the way we access, share and create new value from existing information; how 'the stream' will affect how we see and play with information; and, a culture that continually demands transparency and open-ness.
